Romp and Circumstance, Hooah!

Welllllllllllllllllll, I finally have all my shots. I am freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I can go out now. Free, free, free, freeeeeeeeeeedom! Wooohooo.

Even though I still get a little car sick, I love to go in that car. That car takes me to fun places. They tell me they want me to be socialized, but who the heck knows what that means.

So, they have been talking about this thing called "romp and circumstance" -- wow!! I loved it. The Marine Corps Marching Band's music was great! Ditto about the high school band. And the Bagpipe player walked so close to me, I could see up his skirt. And I looked!

I got to hear this guy, Buddy Greco, sing the National Anthem. That was way cool. I love this Romp and Circumstance stuff. But I still don't understand what it has to do with Vets. I didn't see my vet there. And no one pinched me, like they always do at the Vets. So, it was a great day.

Best of all, I got a LOT of attention. I always like that. I wasn't wild about the sound of all those Harley Davidsons the American Legion's Desert Riders rode. They were really loud and there were so many of them. But the people who rode them were reallllllllllllllllly nice. They spent a lot of time with me and I got to muggle a lot of people. I even sat behind one of them. He had the tastiest hat. It had a long tail that hung over the back of his chair, right by my mouth. I almost got to put my mouth on it once, but after that, we had to leave and go sit somewhere else. I kept looking for that very chewable hat.

I heard a couple of speeches. Those are always a good time to sneak in nap, since it was a long day. I needed a nap so I could spend quality time with all the Girl Scouts, Firemen and their wives, and a whole bunch of great kids from the high school. It is funny, lots of men, women and all kinds of kids that will get down on the grass with me and let me sit in their laps and they laugh and talk to me. There were even two people who did that who were using walkers. They got right down on the ground with me. It was fun. I like it when I can make people happy.

Did I mention how great it is to be freeeeeeeeeee and outside in new places? Oh, there was another thing. The sound of applause creeps me out. It is okay, not all the bad, but weird. Apparently I have to learn to ignore that sound. Muah hah hah hah hah, I guess I will just have to go out more and practice! More rides in the car and people to meet. Freeeeeeeeedom, ain't it the best?!

Anyway, I loved all those flags. The blue part looks just like my collar and leash! I would love to do Romp and Circumstance every day.

Thanks Greg Pettis and Cathedral City Rotary, The Healing Fields is a wonderful thing.
